How can I automatically close discussion threads after a period of time?

Some group administrators prefer that rather than reusing old discussion threads from a long time ago, members should start a new one if a topic of discussion arises afresh. If you would like this to be done automatically then you can choose after how many days a thread should be closed.

This can be changed by going to the Thread workflow settings category and changing the Automatically close to new messages after setting to the required number of days. If you later reopen the thread to messages it will not be automatically closed again.
