Why can't I upload an attachment?

There are several reasons why you might not be able to add an attachment to a discussion message, knowledge entry or blog post. These include:

• The attachment is bigger than the maximum size permitted by the system or group. You might want to consider another way of hosting it.
• The attachment is of a file type that is not permitted by the group. You should convert it to a more suitable type first.
• Attachments of any kind are not permitted by the group.
• The attachment filename contained invalid characters. Jiglu only permits filenames that are valid in Windows. You should rename the file to a simpler name without using special characters. Note that if a discussion message is sent by email then any characters in the filename that are invalid will be replaced by dashes.

For all these cases you should see an alert that tells you the reason why your attachment could not be added.
