We’re looking at a number of different options here

Open groups are the biggest problem, undoubtedly.

As things stand, posting addresses are obfuscated (if you view the source code, you can’t see the address there in clear), although if someone has included an e-mail address in their message, it is in clear at the moment (I might change that in the transfer tool, in fact)

We have been kicking this around, and think that in time, we’ll probably offer a number of options, which the Space owner can select (eg fully hidden, part obfuscated, in clear), which will be communicated to the members at the point of joining to let them decide whether that is acceptable

For the moment, we will probably follow the Yahoo type route – There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment here at MailSpaces for our next big release, and a lot of it is based around the feedback from SmartGroups transferors, so please keep it coming
